 (AFI) at the annual Australian Film Institute Awards (more commonly known as the AFI Awards) from 2006-2010. An award was handed out for Best Actor and Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Television Drama or Comedy in 2004 and 2005, which were separated in 2006, when Best Performance in a Television Comedy was established. The award is presented at the AACTA Awards Luncheon, a black tie event which celebrates achievements in film production, television, documentaries and short films.
