4th Land Force Brigade

The 4th Land Force Brigade is a mixed brigade of the Serbian Land Forces. It consists of infantry, armored, mechanized, artillery, air defense, engineering and signal units.
The brigade was formed on 30 June 2007 with command in Vranje
from the former land forces units located in southern Serbia: the 78. motorized brigade from Vranje, parts of the 549. motorized brigade and the 52. mixed artillery brigade. The brigade carries on the tradition of the First Infantry Platoon "Knjaz Milos Veliki".
It is covering the territory of southern Serbia, from the border with the Republic of Macedonia
in the south to the border with Bulgaria in the east and the administrative border with Kosovo
in the west to the area around the city of Leskovac
in the north. Most units are based in Vranje, including the command of the brigade, while other units are based in Leskovac and Bujanovac
