 113th Fighter-Interceptor Wing which was activated to Federal Service as a result of the 4th Fighter-Interceptor Wing being deployed to Far East Air Force.

The wing's mission was to train and maintain tactical flying units in state of readiness in order to defend Northeast United States. Unit redesignated 82d Fighter-Interceptor Group and deactivated 8 July 1956 as part of ADC "Project Arrow" notable unit redesignation program.
