. The brigade was assigned to the 2nd Australian Motor Division in September 1942, it then was assigned to the III Corps between October 1942 and January 1943. Between January and September 1943 it was attached to the 1st Armoured Division and from September 1943, to April 1944, it was attached to the 2nd Division. It returned to III Corps command from April 1944 until it was disbanded in August 1944.
