. Formed in 2000 and largely based at Granada's Quay Street headquarters, it combines the studio and post production facilities and technical staff of the two broadcasters and aimed to cut operating their costs.

BBC North (based at New Broadcasting House in Manchester) and ITV Granada are both moving to MediaCity in 2011 and 2012 respectively, though 3sixtymedia is expected to keep its identity and will not be dissolved or merged into current production departments at MediaCity.
