The new MLS Reserve
League was resurrected for the 2011 season, after not having played since 2008. Each team will play 10 games against divisional opponenets, with clubs being allowed schedule additional games against non-MLS opponents. The schedule begins March 20 and tentatively concludes Oct. 16, though some postponed games do not have a rescheduled date.
MLS Reserve Division

Changes from 2008
- The MLS Reserve Division will be rebranded as the "MLS Reserve League"
- MLS clubs will be allowed to field academy players and players on trial in reserve matches
- With MLS expansion since 2008 putting the league at 18 teams, the Reserve League will now be divided into three divisions:
