Doha withdrawn

In June 2008, the Qatar Olympic Committee officially withdrew from hosting the 4th Asian Indoor Games in Doha scheduled for 2011. A letter from Qatar Olympic Committee addressed to Olympic Council of Asia states that “We regret to inform you that QOC is not in a position to continue with its plan to host the 4th Asian Indoor Games in 2011 due to unforeseen circumstances and thereby formally withdrawing its interest in organizing these Games”
