The qualifying clubs were the champions or finalists of each districts top division for the 2009–10 season. The tournament opened with the regional stage, before compressing into the final stage of the tournament.

Final Round

The Final Round of the Lidbondentoernooi consisted of two pools, known as Poule C and Poule D. Each pool consisted of five clubs, who would play each other twice, home and away. The winner of each group earned automatic promotion into the Suriname Eerste Klasse, the second tier of Surinamese football. The group runners-up played a third place match in a single match playoff. The winner of the consolation match earned a spot in a promotion/relegation playoff against the 8th place Eerste Klasse team.
