was the first for the Atlanta Dream. The team name was unveiled on January 23, 2008, with the expansion draft held on February 6. The Atlanta Dream had seventeen straight losses. It was the longest losing streak to start a season in WNBA history.
Additionally, Atlanta immediately orchestrated three trades involving players in the expansion draft.
