tournament championship game and faced Notre Dame
in the first round of the 2008 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament and lost 68–50. The Patriots were runner-ups in the 2009 Colonial Athletic Association
tournament and reached the 2009 NIT where they lost in overtime to eventual tournament champion Penn State to end the 2008–09 season.
