The rajputs were unable to unite themselves against a common enemy and another reason was that the cast system proved to be a great fetal as only the Kshatriyas were allowed to fight as they were the warrior cast and one of the reason can also be that the ego of some rajputs made a fetal shore like in the case of Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan of delhi if other kings had also helped him then maybe the Turks would never had entered India though Prithviraj was enough alone for the turks but some traitors made his side down .
