am new in this discussion and after i read trough these opinions, i came to realize that we all have different ideas about oil and they all seem to hold water.
well, since the nile is considered to be the longest river in the world, some people also believe that there is an underground oil river that flows with the nile and ends up in the middle east and thats why there is so much oil.

The forest that was there was erradicated by a heavenly body which burried the vegitation and now apears as a great sandy scar spread across the Middle East and the top part of Africa.

Imagine throwing a sandstone the side of a football at a 45 degree angle at your lawn out in the backyard. Thats the Middle east and top part of Africa.

This happened millions of years ago so plenty of time for the foliage to turn to "fossil" fuel.

According to some engineers we are at a point where we could not only constract a technological combustion engine to burn alternative fuels, futhermore cleaner burning and ecocologically friendly. The only reason we don't go there is that too much money is already invested in the oil industry and the world econconomy would suffer drastically. I read that there are several other souurces for autumobil fuels at our disposals. One is the processing of maguay alcocol for fuel use. It burns more efficiently and is already being processed for the making of tequila. The maguay planr is very versitile and grows just about any where. Here in the southwest I grow it as a tradition. Think out of the square. Nilchinaa.

I'm not American; personally i'm glad, but you're right. There should be international standards in place to stopthis sort of stealing. Everyone outside of America knows that you had an agenda to invade Middle Eastern Countries even before 9/11. I am an American. I'm proud of that. America has done great things for planet Earth. We have also done some things wrong. To be honest we all have alot to regret.We do not think we are better than anyone else. We simply belive anything is possible if we try hard enough. We have a dream for the future, and we want everyone, who wants to, to come with us. I don't like the way we are tied to oil, ours or yours. The fact is we are, the world is. The existence of large deposits of oil are not found only in the Middle East. Some information regarding oil production is hyped with design to shape your political and economic outlook on the issues. For instance, if one looks at top producing countries you will find Russia may be outdoing Saudi Arabia in certain years.

The United States has surplus reserve deposits and is ranking third in world oil production better than Iran, Iraq, and countries like Libya which is roughly around only 17th in world production.

I agree with you entirely. But the "flood of Noah" isn't the only story embellished and passed along. The Bible is a good handbook on how to live your life spiritually, but is not much use as a trustworthy source of what really happened "way back when".
