When I was a very youg boy living in Whittier Calif, I believe between 1960 and 1961, I recall one night looking up in the sky, probably 9:00 to 10:00 pm with a clear sky and seeing a very bright seemingly close to the ground ( it looked very big to me) star shaped fireball. I recall thinking "wow that looks like the Carls Jr shooting star, but then again I was very young (imagination you know)but, I did see this fireball heading in a southern path towards the pacific ocean, like towards Catalina Island. Does anyone know of something like that happening back the, or do I still wonder
