I'm a retired US Airways Lead Mechanic. I've looked at over 350 images of the crash and I see no evidence of a bird strike. We'll know more tomorrow when they have the plane out of the water but I've seen a lot of aircraft damaged by birds and the pics I've seen of the radome and cockpit, plus the verticle stabilizer, show zero signs of damage. If the plane hit a "wall of birds" then you should see a shattered radome or broken windshield or dents with feathers and blood on the nose of the plane. One picture was quite close up and there was no sign of damage. Did the pilot receive a bird strike in one engine and then shut down the other by mistake? We'll find out soon. The media is jumping around calling the Captain a hero but the whole truth has yet to be told. Go to google images and do a search for bird strike damage. You'll see what I'm talking about.......
