How many of you actually believe this ignorant, vicious piece of work is a real judge? Remember, before you answer, I'm talking about someone who actually listens to both the plaintiff AND the defendant before deciding who is at fault and who isn't.. I talking about someone who knows the law and doesn't use it or abuse it to set their own verdict, not for the sake of justice, but for the sake of entertainment (though in no way, shape or form do I consider 'Judge Judy' to be entertaining)..

I don't know if she is telling the truth or not, that she had 30 years in family court before being a TV 'star', the only thing I know, is God help any persons that came before her court in those 30 years.. There is no doubt abusive parents not only went free from any criminal prosecution but they very likely were granted full custody of the children they abused.. Why? Because this woman does not EVER base her verdicts on facts, she doesn't even hear the facts most of the time, she bases them on one: what she reads in the court documents and two: who she likes or doesn't like and not necessarily in that order.. Nothing of the facts of the cases are taken into consideration by this horrid woman, only what suits her..

Today I watched a federal agent get awarded $5000 because a couple (who were obviously terrified of him) had dared to file a restraining order against him.. Even though the couple had documented and video tape proof that he was harassing them Judy refused to let them tell their side and accused the couple of harassing HIM.. This agent was a big dude, I would be terrified myself to have him angry at me but Judy had already decided the couple was guilty and I believe if God himself came down and vouched for them she would still have found them at fault..

Why oh why, do people still continue to go to this women's courtroom?? Be you plaintiff or defendant it has nothing to do with the law or who is right or wrong, it has to do with this woman playing a part, nothing more, nothing less and the law, in particular, is the one that suffers..

She should have been arrested a long time ago for impersonating a judge!

I usually turn the TV to another station when she comes on. I know without a doubt that se's a bigot. If you are not Caucasian, you can forget winning anything. There is no way I would subject myself to this woman's (and I use the term loosely) abuse. She needs to be taken off television. One of her favorite questions is, "Do you think you're smarter than me?" My answer to her would be, "Most of the people I know are smarter than you, so who are you trying to convince?" God help us if this winche was a REAL judge!

Absolutely true! If I want to watch a real judge administer justice I will turn to The People's Court and Marilyn Milian, who takes the time to listen to BOTH sides before deliberation and giving her verdict..

But, I would still NEVER volunteer to go before any of these TV personalities, I think they are all pretty horrible as judges and are much more concerned with 'entertaining' the public then in doing the 'right thing'..

Judith Sheindlin and Joe Brown are the two worst by a long, LONG way, they both could care less about the litigants that come before them but only about how rotten they can make them feel in front of the whole world.. They are flat-out abusive and, in fact, both could be classified as nothing more then highly paid bullies..

It's just too sad people continue to watch these fakes, maybe someday Americans will grow up and realize these people are NOT what the law is all about.. And more fool you for thinking you are going to have justice served to you if you go up before them.. Take a word of advice and stick to the REAL judges and courtrooms in your hometown instead of seeking your 15 minutes of fame on the 'sets' of these phony arbitrators..

I agree, I don't like her either. She is very rude to everyone that appears before her. She is very intellegent but is very arrogant about it. She wants respect but gives no one else respect. I can't imagine her as a mother. Have you noticed how Byrd reacts to her sometimes, I think most of the time he disagrees with her. My favorite Judge is Judge Alex, I think he is the most fair of them all.

I don't think she is a biggot, just an arrogant person. After all her baliff is Byrd and I think she has a lot of respect for him. I don't he necessarily agrees with her all the time, just watch his facial expressions. Judge Alex is my favorite.
