When children die from HIV
It’s not a death you wish to see
The cherubs of humanity
Like skelingtons they turn to be

The bulbous heads, the limbs so thin
Their hollow eyes, their parchment skin
The snakes that eat them from within
All given them by men who sin

Behold, ye fools, let thou observe
Nor did they ask, nor did deserve
‘Tis best that stones be tied to thee
And thou be cast into the sea

Through suffering years they waste away
They do not laugh, they do not play
When children die from HIV
Almighty God doth set them free
