It is very confusing because people might think that there is a connection between the original name of isreal palaestina (that called after the plishtim that lived here before) and the palestinian people.
there is no connection between the two.
the british were the ones that gave the name palestine to the arabs that lived in israel at that time although they didnt liked it at first.
so if you are talking about israel you should
say palaestina and not palestine.
