P.S. I personally thought the video was awful, but that is just my opinion...

The video, sad as this may be, is about average for that side of the debate. I have a difficult time watching them from beginning to end as a general rule. I'm sure that Obama supporters feel the same about the videos we find interesting.

future history, if there is a time when such will be written, will reveal the wisdom or stupidity of one side or the other. His behavior is growing too complex for me to interpret unfortunately.

I fear for our soldiers. They have the worst of these tasks and cannot say no when it comes to spilling their blood on the sands of time and history.

socialism is defined as any type of gov't that uses the taxes it gathers to implement programs designed to 'help' a minority part of the society being ruled

usually that means taxing those who make enough money to not only live, but enjoy some of the finer things in life as well, then giving those taxes to people defined, by the gov't, as poor or under privileged.

in most socialist systems, large government structures employ a large part of the population. When gov't employs people, it pays them from the tax monies it collects.

combine the tax fueled jobs with social aid programs and you get a society where a very few people, the ones NOT working FOR the gov't, pay for the lives and well being of most of the rest.

when this happens, the people in charge of distributing that money and managing the programs that take care of and provide for people have control of the people they are taking care of...also known as slavery

the socialists currently seeking to solidify this system in America are trying to tell everyone that THEY will be the better master...better than the socialists in the USSR, better than the ones in China, better than the ones in Nazi Germany...

the problem is....people lie and the good guys don't always stay in charge. When the people in charge of taking care of a socialists system are bad people, bad things happen to the people whose care they are trusted with...and there is no way out of it except to revolt...

under the AMERICAN FEDERALIST REPUBLIC, no man may control the life, happiness, or choice of another man. This is called freedom. When you are free, if you don't like the guy in charge, you can quit, tell everyone how horrible the man in charge is getting them to quit too thus ruining his business. Then, you can get your act together and start a business of your own.
under socialism, if you don't like it, you'd better shut up cause you might get fired, have your name passed around and become unable to get a job...or the police might come and arrest you for being a bad person.

the utopia you envision is a socialist utopia because under freedom, there are no guarantees...you can do everything right and still fail, you can do nothing right and succeed...kind of like gambling, which is the natural way of life. God is a master poker player.
While I understand wanting everyone to have everything they could ever want and need and I see that this desire comes out of nothing but excellent morals and generosity...
who's going to supervise this 'giving of everything'? where does 'everything' come from?
