I was recently asked to advise on a large, old, black and white charcoal/pencil picture entitled "The Death Of Edith Cavell".
It is similar in style to the one you have on your website of Edith Lying on the ground with a Nazi standing over her - except that this one had an angel rising out of the body of Edith and rising up to heaven. The artist is L. E. Neave.
Does anyone know anything about this painting or its artist -its origins etc?
