I think George Beurling maybe the nephew/great nephew of my Great Grandfather (Alexander McCalister)who's sister emigrated to Canada. My mother remembers her Grandfather sending copies of the Wiganshire Free Press newspaper to his sister in Gault Ontario in the 1930's and 1940's (my mother was born in 1929 so only remembers correspondence in the 1930's and 40's) and in return he recieved copies of the local papers from his sister. My mother remembers seeing papers with stories of George (Screwball) Beurling accompanied by letters saying that if George managed to get to Glasgow he would try to contact them, unfortunatly this never happened. My sister and myself have been doing some family research and it would be great if we could make contact with anyone who know's anything about George Beurling family in Canada.
