I have noticed....well not noticed any black squirrels in my area for about a week. Are they in breeding season again? I have bird feeders and many squirrels visit each day for seeds and special peanuts I leave out for them. It seems odd and I don't remember this last year.

Their breeding season begins in late winter.

Do you have an explanation for the squirrel draught?
I saw one lonely one yesterday, looked like a young one. I have not seen any dead ones either.
