I have an electric motor that will not run up to full speed. AO Smith 240v 3/4 run/start capcitor. This runs an air compressor. A connecting rod on the piston broke and I repaired it.The 2 pistons attach to the motor shaft along with 2 counter weights.When the motor tries to start, it runs slow and then trips the internal overload. If I take the pistons off and run just the motor it starts slow, but then kicks into full speed. I have checked both capacitors and they seems to be ok. Doesn't seem like it is getting the extra kick when it tries to start.
