I have a question regarding loudness of both classical guitars and Flamenco guitaris. You see, unfortunately, 6 months ago I left a concert and had a ringing in my ear that has still not abated. After the ringing started, I became very paranoid about playing the guitar. After a two month hiatus from the guitar I started playing again. However, now I play more on my classical guitar because I am afraid that the flamenco is a little too loud. My question is if anybody knows the difference in decibel levels between a flamenco guitar and a classical guitar? I am of course not talking about anything that is plugged in, just your standard acoustic guitar. Has anybody taken a decibel meter and listened to their playing on either a flamenco or a classical guitar? I know that Flamenco also is louder becuase of the singing, clapping and the dancing. So, even better, has anybody taken a decibel meter to a flamenco show? Or does anybody have any success stories about overcoming tinnitus? Thanks
