French Foreign Legion

I am writing a book (not on the French Foreign Legion but it is a part of the story). I have some questions and hope someone can answer them or point me in the right direction.

#1: After basic training, how is it detemined what regiment a new legionnaire gets posted to?
#2: If you are part of the 2nd parachute regiment, based in Corsica, is it possible to train in all 4 disciplines within the 2nd para (ie Urban warfare, amphibious warfare, Mountain warfare and sniping)?
#3: Is it possible that you could be stationed in Djibouti and French Guiana at differnt times during you enlistment?
#4: If there was an incident/investigation involving a legionnaire, does he go before some kind of tribunal (like a court martial in the USMC)? If so, where does this take place and who is the Judge and who is the Jury?

Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

You can be posted in many different places during your service depending on the circumstances. Also, yes there is a French military court but if the offense was part of your civilian life you will be tried by your respected country.
