It will last until the executives of the big media companies decide that the undiscriminating coverage is unprofitable. I'm not saying that will happen - only that it is the only way the infatuation will end.

Infatuation? or necessary coverage of the most important political figure in the world? The average American is frightened over the events of the past year and the national media is supposted to be addressing the needs of the average American, right? What is your evidence for "infatuation" as opposed to "political news"?

I think its waning a bit already. I think it terribly ironic that one couldn’t even consider challenging this man for fear for the race card being played and then he makes his “Special Olympics remark

Its not the medias infatuation. Its his infatuation. All he wants is the media around so that he can try and prove that he is still an amazing president. Hes trying to get people to like him and he needs to start focusing on the country not what america thinks about him.

NOT LONG if He fails to do what he claimed. The majority of voters that voted for him would have voted for a toad if the toad would have spoken the same promises. The general public is sick of the corruption and the feeding off of the common citizen. If he does not make the CHANGES that he campaigned on, I dont see another african american ever getting elected to office again because he would have tarnished the belief that there would be a change, when Americans put away there biases and prejudices in order to elect a person they beieved may truly CHANGE things. I believe that if he fails to fulfill those promises it will have sealed the thought of the American people that they really dont have control and they are being led by LIARS. It also may also say that there may be only one way to change and it isnt throught the election process since has failed do to immoral politicians that will lie, cheat, steal and do what they will in order to gain power. It will be a sad state of affairs.

When Cris Mathews says he has "A tingly feeling running up his leg" ?? When the grinning fools on so-called news programs almost faint with admiration? That would be infatuation. Important? Maybe in that America is, but the bias is sickening.

Um... as long as he is president, perhaps?
