I am a teacher applicant here in Cebu City South and i just dont like how politics work in the recruitment of teachers in the elementary and secondary level. THE WHOM YOU KNOW system is really very evident. What i really don't like is that they (people in the Cebu City Division office) are very discreet on who among the applicants were already itemized. I personally called Mr. Recaredo Borgonia and requested him to post the number of needed teachers per subject area and the name of the teachers hired so that at least we applicants will be guided. Their system is not very beneficial to the applicants since they wouldn't tell how many teachers they need. The tendency is that applicants on a nearer rank would be in a puzzle as to when they would be called for items resulting to starving their family or they might have applied in a private company while waiting and would already sign a contract so when they would receive the call from the DepEd...breach of contract would be the applicants issue.... In this manner i am so hoping that the DEPED officials would take applicants into consideration. i just hope this would reach to anyone of them. And Cebu City DEPED officials please stop accepting gifts from applicants in exchange for teaching items
