That so called ABMK was really a half failure from Kyowa Hakko. Liquid Gold, or Senseiro, like all derivatives and extracts and capsules from this mushroom cannot compare to the mushroom itself, if it is an optimum variety. In this page I write about it: http://blazei.org/index.php?title=Sobre_los_distintos_efectos_farmacol%C3%B3gicos_entre_el_champi%C3%B1%C3%B3n_en_s%C3%AD_y_los_derivados_del_mismo

Prof. Itoh explains what a nonsense to try with derivatives that abolish many of the active ingredients of the mushroom itself.

There are clinicals trials, yes. But if you read carefully and compare to those with the optimum mushroom itself, you will notice the difference is incredibly big. There are even some scientific publications where complete remissions (at first they considered them "spontaneus remmissions") have been achieved and described. But only with the mushroom itself.

If you study the real quality and true scientific experiments carried out about blazei you will realize derivatives, up to now, are few less than a nonsense.

On the other hand, Kyowa Hakko delivered those derivatives from its own strains, K21 and K22. They invested a huge amount of money in delivering and producing it in Matto Grosso do Sul, in some mountains similar to the original mountains of Piedade, in Sao Paulo. There are also several publications about clinical trials with them (with the mushroom itself). They are much more significative than its derivatives.

In fact, in Japan they ended selling much more mushroom itself, ABK, than extracts and capsules.

Again, Kyowa made a mistake by thinking that growing at open fields a strongly controlled strain and in mountains similar to Piedade would produce the best Agaricus blazei Murill. Five years later it was demonstrated the microweather and special conditions from Piedade made a much better mushroom.

Though ABMK (the mushroom itself) is much better than the most of commercial ones placed in the market, the very best Agaricus blazei Murill is open field grown, original strain from 1964, grown in Piedade mountains or near to them, from October to April. The climate is fundamental. In those mountains, they have in some sense a special weather. Significative changes of temperature from hot to cold every two weeks, and during the own day. That make the mushroom optimum, along with the other requisites.

I would suggest you the mushroom itself, NEVER a derivative. And optimum one, from Piedade, before than ABMK. Though ABMK is much better than the majority of unescrupulous commercial offer. But the very best, and the one which achives tens of active ingredients acting in sinergy among them, and the one which achieves real miracles described by scientific publications is the original one from Piedade. Anyway, NEVER a derivative and NEVER the mushroom grown indoors, even if it were from Brazil. Most Brazilian growers do it indoors too, it is much more profitable, but it is unuseful, where benefit defeates science.

For more complete information, I suggest you to visit some of my non commercial sites, like http://blazei.org, or http://blazeipedia.eu.org (a scientific scholar search engine only about Agaricus blazei Murill).

Best wishes and regards.

Really helpful thanks and will go to the sites you mentioned - is there a safe and reputable supplier that it would be best to buy from? Second question is for a patient with mesothelioma can you recommend the best form to take the Blazei (presumably dried and then re-constituted and cooked?) and in what quantity / dosgae to maximise the benefit?

Many thanks again.
