Does anyone have or know of a 19th-century song set to Thomas Hood's "Bridge of Sighs" poem? I am planning a program of music based on musical allusions in the Louisa May Alcott books. The protagonist sings this in Alcott's "An Old-Fashioned Girl" Thanks to anyone who can help!

Just found my answer at the site "Variety Music Calvalcade"! "Bridge of Sighs" was set by by E.L. White and published by Oliver Ditson. The famed protest singers of the time, the Hutchinsons, popularized it. Not surprising that Alcott, an abotiotionist herself, weaved it into her book.
