Some among the 10000 birds of today are among the supposed remnants of the dinosaurs

Crocodiles are too said to be descendants of dinosaurs

While many people look at dinosaurs and see a resemblance to crocodiles, reptiles and dinos are very different. Crocodilians and dinosaurs existed simultaneously, just like sharks and bees and turtles, but the only thing truly descended from dinosaurs is the bird family. They are descended from the theropods like T. rex and the dromeosaurs (raptors).

There are legends (Mokele Mbembe in Africa, for example), but I would classify them as fake. I don't think there are any true non-avian dinosaurs alive today. However, avian dinosaurs, aka birds, still exist and are even thriving today. I don't think crocodiles are descendants of dinosaurs because crocodiles and dinosaurs evolved alongside each other; in fact, crocodiles evolved a little earlier than dinosaurs; well, early ancestors of them, anyway.

Some animals like comoto drangons are still called "acient dinosaurs" because scientists believe that comoto drangons, crocodiles, and aligators (some birds). So from that i would say that prehistoric anomals still live just not dinosaurs.
