Are the wind velocities in a tornado(or any vortex 4 that matter)always diminishing w/ increased distance from the eyewall, or are they sometimes uniform throughout the vortex? I wonder if the Joplin twister had the last mentioned characteristic. Especially if destruction was uniform across its path.
