666 is translated into WWW in ancient Hebrew. The Beast (as also described in Daniel) is a KINGDOM. In Revelations this kingdom is compared to Babylon.

God was most angry about the temple where all of the world’s knowledge was brought together in on place...where all buying and selling took place. Where they built a tower “into the clouds” . Where they all could be understood.

According to Revelations this end-of-times beast or ‘kingdom’ speaks in all languages, it captures all people even the saints (Christians) ...all are amazed by it. It has eyes but cannot see, a mouth but cannot speak, ears but cannot hear.

It shows images from the sky, It is used for both good and evil. People are amazed saying ‘What can this not do?”people worship (spend time with ...gaze at...think about) the beast.

The Beast is the Kingdom of the World Wide Web that leads us to “run to and fro..and gain more knowledge” It causes us to become scattered and lose our long-term attention, our time to pray and meditate.

It steals our time. We are consumed by it more and more each day. It is a WEB and we are the spider’s Prey.

We can feel its pull at the dinner table when we glance at our phone instead of into the eyes of our spouse...our children. When we bring our I-phone to Church in case we miss something terribly important. When we have a problem...do we turn to God? No! We turn on or computer and connect to the WWW to solve our problems.

Jesus went into the desert for 40 days and 40 nights to become closer to His Father. Can we turn off our phone and our computer for 40 minutes?? Not likely.

God is a jealous God! He want to be our one and only...our only source for all things. He is asking us to worship Him ...not the I phone I Pad I I I !! It is all about me me me. I like the thought of Apple being from the "Tree of Knowledge" and the connection with Google-a lovely association but Revelation is about the "End Times" which started in 1948 (according to Jeremiah) and there is a more simple but much overlooked explanation of 666

Like all the prophecies in the Book of Revelation they could not have been identified until after they had appeared, so any attempted interpretation before 1990 would have been pure speculation!

The current "modern" theory is that we are rapidly entering a "cashless society" where we will have a chip implanted in our right hand and we can wave this over the scanner at the local supermarket checkout, or wherever, to settle our bill. But what about left-handed people and why have it in your forhead as an alternative?

There are two problems with this scenario. Instead of thieves stealing your credit cards, it won't be long before some criminals will start chopping off hands to use your credit facilities or, if you are stupid enough to have the implant in your head, you are likely to be decapitated!

In any case, what has this arrangement got to do with the number 666?

BUT, if we could find something which has the number 666, has appeared since 1948, and without quoting this number, no one could buy or sell their goods, then one would assume that many would recognise it as a realistic identification of the elusive Beast 666.

Although many who do not subscribe to the cashless society explanation, are still waiting for the horrendous "beast" to appear and terrorise us in The End Times, the prophecy of the Beast 666 was fulfilled in 1990 when Iraq invaded Kuwait.

UN Resolution number 661 immediately prevented anyone buying from, or selling to, either Iraq or Kuwait, a normal trade sanction when one country invades another.

Unfortunately, many innocent civilians died through lack of food and medical supplies and the UN passed another resolution to allow trading for humanitarian reasons only, and this was done by passing Resolution 666.

The number 666 had to appear on the TRADING DOCUMENTS and this would have been traditionally written at the TOP, OR ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE of the document, because this is where it would have been clearly visible.

So no one could buy or sell, in that part of the world, at that time, unless he had the number of the "beast" 666 written on the top (forehead) or the right hand (side) of his trading documents.

The Beast 666 was therefore a United Nations Resolution, as was the other "Beast" and its "Image", which everyone had to obey, or be killed.

also revelation 13 and the book of Revelation in general refers repeatedly to the WHOLE WORLD, - all nations, all languages, all tribes, ALL is repeated. WHOLE world is repeated. It does not say that it is limited to Iraq or Kuwait, or Rome or some particular area.. The plainest reading of the text - without using extrapolations- indicated the WHOLE world, and all those who follow the beast will give themselves a mark on their right arm or forehead..Or...and I repeat "OR" they will have to have the name of the beast or number of his name. Currently we buy and sell on the internet always with a "www" involved..

I appreciate your explanation , but still feel the 'easiest...the plainest interpretation is that W.W.W = 666=six thousand, six hundred & six... the same price that Steve Jobs sold the very first Apple Computer. (I am not saying Apple is the beast!..just that there are signposts leading to WWW) The internet ...The thing the WHOLE world uses to buy and sell . The thing that shows images, speaks but has no mouth, sees but has no eyes...makes us 'blind' and 'drunk' with her captivation, ...captures even the saints. Comes as something good , and light filled.. the internet even travels using fiber optics! It covered the whole earth ..reaches into the heavens like the tree described in the book of Daniel. It is a Kingdom like not other, both strong and weak, arising from the the other 7 Kingdoms.

If we ask a 6 year old to tell us what speaks in all languages, the whole world uses to buy and sell he will tell you the internet. but WWW is not exactly the internet. it is our love for the internet (like money is not evil...it is the LOVE of money that is evil) is our personal addiction/connection to it. We are replacing it for the one true God. We see it ,before we seek God. We are distracted by this device ...captivated. The sabbath is gone. Times alone with God is gone. We cannot longer hear Gods voice. Our holy temple (our very body) is filled with an abomination that causes desolation. We need to empty our mind heart and soul to create a sanctuary for Him to dwell..within our very center. Amen.
