1) Other than people telling you, what piece of hard evidence have you seen that proves, to you, that man is causing the earth to warm?
2) The word consensus means " agreement by all or most, as in an opinion". The key word here is "opinion". A scientific fact would be that carbon dioxide is made up of one part carbon and 2 parts oxygen. That's not consensus, it's fact. When they use the phrase "scientific consensus" instead of scientific fact, is that not proof there is no proof?

We know that the earth is warming, and see evidence in the news every week. We also know that CO2 is a greehouse gas.
Given that over the last few centuries mankind has moved vast amounts of carbon from the earth into the atmosphere, and deforested huge tracts of land, it seems reasonable to make the conclusion that we are contributing significantly to global warming. Due to the complexity of the natural system we are experimenting with, it is unlikely that we will ever prove that we are causing global warming with the same rigour that we can prove other facts. On the other hand it cannot be proved that we are not causing global warming.
Absolute experimental proof will only really come when we can repeat this dangerous experiment.

There are still a few points worth mention. The Earth's atmosphere started off as carbon dioxide, methane, nitrogen and others. Plants, or more correctly cyanobacteria, put the oxygen in the atmosphere and stored the carbon as biomass. Bryophytes (plants) put the coal deposits where they are and helped with the oil.
Put plainly, there is more than enough carbon on Earth to account for all the oxygen. Burning one tonne of carbon (coal) uses up all the oxygen from 15,000 cubic metres of atmosphere. Luckily there are roughly 5 billion billion cubic metres of troposphere so it will take a while but, eventually we will run out of oxygen.
That sounds like a lot of stmosphere left but take the world population, multiply by the average carbon footprint then multiply by a few years and there isn't so much after all.
The biggest threat though is not the forests or the fossil fuels but the biomass stored in the world's oceans. One bloom of algae, plankton and krill can contains several times more biomass than all the worlds rainforests. These blooms are dying faster than the forests. Pesticides and chemicals dumped into rivers find their way to the ocean and kill for years to come.
Some say these blooms are dying because of rising carbon dioxide levels. Rubbish, its the other way around. Plants and algae thrive on carbon dioxide which should be increasing the blooms. Carbon dioxide is rising because we are poisoning the oceans as well as forests and fossil fuels, of course.

You people are just soooo wacky.
My God.
Get a life.
Or maybe a job!
Still haven't seen any PROOF dudes, that man is causing warming.
Because there isn't any. And all you wierdos know it.

Once people resort to personal vituperation to make a point they just show how ignorant they are. There are some people who don't believe the US landed on the moon either. Perhaps someone would like to show me some proof of that.
There are individual years that are hot, some that are cold. It is the trend that is important.
Look at:-

This isn't just someone telling me, I can see the measured data myself.
It might be humans, it might be the sun or it might be a volcano god putting a curse on us. The world is still warming.

This attitude...'I'm WAY too cool to think about anything other than myself, beer, chicks/dudes, cool machines etc and anyone who does is a dweeb, dork, geek, nerd, loser etc' has been done to death. You'd think that with instant access to the sum of human knowledge and experience you could find something more interesting to become.
as to the PROOF... are you sure you'd know it if it hit you upside your head? There are six billion human beings on the planet, how could we NOT change it?
try standing behind your car while someone steps on the gas....now inhale. Multiply that experience to some outrageous exponential and I give you a sort of proof.
dude
thanks

Perhaps there is a basis for suspicion of the moon landing being produced in a studio.
Think about this: The moon landing was a political gambit one of the biggest ever made at that time. there could well have been a "back up" scheme in case the video broke when the guys got to the moon , or if it turned into a disaster. The stakes were high, both internally and externally, so a film with a happy ending would have been nice to show at home and abroad. If such a film did exist, there would be those who would want to air it, or bits of it, just to show how clever they were.
Never under estimate the degree of secrecy to which Government will go to protect the citizen.

Some one ought to point a telescope at the moon and put the feed on you tube. I would but I don't have a telescope.
does anyone know if we can see the stuff we left behind through a telescope?
:::muttering::: moon landing...conspiracy....great googlie mooglies

I think someone has misunderstood me. I have no doubt the moon landing was real. It has nothing to do with Global Warming though.
I can see the raw data and the trend by looking at the sites I listed above. The world is warming. What is causing it is debateable but it is still warming.

I have come to the conclusion that we all have a little blame global warming and its consequences and guilt even more politicians who do not slow down.
