1. eponymous descriptive adjective used in Microeconomics. Indicates the derivation of the mathematics or the effect to have come from, and be credited to, Slutsky's early twentieth century work.
   • 1972, Stanley Fischer, Econometrica, v. 40, iss. 2, pp 371 - This correspondence is then used in a derivation of Slutsky equations for assets.
