noun
(1) A noun that does not form plurals

Usage notes
- In English, mass nouns, such as information and money, generally have no plural form and are not used with the indefinite article or numbers (so “an information” and “seven money” are incorrect).
- Some mass nouns, such as whisky, can also be count nouns when they refer to a variety (“Scotch and Canadian whiskies”) or in informal usage to denote a serving (“please bring us two whiskies”).
