Émile Moreau was Governor of the Bank de France
from 1926 to 1930 and chairman of Paribas from 1931 to 1940. After retiring from his role as governor he took a job in a private bank. His contribution to the Poincare Stabilization helped the French Franc to gain credibility in the 1920s due to the Russian Default post the Bolshevik Revolution.
