History

 accelerated, moving in a number of different directions. By the late 1990s, the journal's coverage, in response to the development of the field, expanded beyond the area of work and stress. In 1999, the European Academy for Occupational Health Psychology was founded and in 2000, the journal became associated with the Academy. The journal covers research and applications bearing on "the interactions among work, health, and organizations." Work & Stress publishes empirical papers, theoretical reviews, case studies, etc. A more detailed description of the historical development of the Work & Stress was published in 2009.
