Synopsis

At the end of The War God’s Own, Bahzell had accepted the surrender of the much larger force commanded by the Sothoii Baron Tellian. Bahzell, Brandark and Kaeritha are resident at his castle from where he rules a large portion of the Sothoii Empire; Baron being their highest title.

Bahzell is called away and heals the remnant of a herd of Coursers, the phenomenal horses which link with selected Sothoii Windriders.
Meanwhile Kaeritha obeys her call to the Sothoii Warmaids, who are keen that there is no diminution of their legal rights.
The devotees of the vile gods continue - as a third strand of their long-planned attack on the Sothoii - to manipulate and attack in Baron Tellian’s own lands.

Note

There are mentions on David Weber’s website of the potential for more stories in this sequence. There are a number of incomplete segments such as Vaijon's work with the hradani; Wencit's dealings with evil wizards and the completion of these issues in the Sothoii Empire.
