Wendy has been married since 1998 to Dr. Joe O'Toole, an interventional cardiologist. They have five sons: Michael who was born in 2000 and goes to St. Bede and is currently in the 5th grade, Jack who was born in 2001 and is in the 3rd grade, who also goes to St. Bede. Ryan who was born in 2005 and is in preschool at St. Bede, as well, and twins Christopher and Bobby born in 2008. The twins were born premature, thus causing a strange maternity leave for Bell.Awards
Wendy has won 9 Emmy Awards, a National Headliner Award and two Edward R. Murrow Awards for a story that tested the politeness of everyday Pittsburghers.
