Location

This village appeared as Vesereghatz first in Lazarus Secretariu's maps made between 1510 and 1520. The town lies in Gödöllő-Hills near the Cserhát, in the south with Mogyoród hornbeam and the Foth Somlyó csomádi high hill, in the east and north with the Margita, and is surrounded by the Old Man Mountain. From Veresegyház in the north-west there are the őrbottyáni Őrhegy and the váchartyáni hill can be seen. The nearest neighbour is Szada.

History

In popular tradition, Vereeniging and Szada Ivacs ancestor was a village, which now belongs to the city.
