Sheep on Sumbiarhólmur

People from Sumba keep rams on the islet in summertime. It depends on the weather when the rams are transported out to the islet. In 2008 they went out there on 15 July and collected them again on 22 September. The rams were all weighted just before the departure to Sumbiarhólmur and just after the return to Sumba. They had all gained weight from 22 to 30 pounds. Normally they let 8 rams out on the islet, but in 2008 and 2007 they let only 7 and with good results, the weight was even better than the years before.
