The Toronto After Dark Film Festival is giving a world premiere to the war zombie pic War of the Dead, by director Marko Makilaakso and starring Andrew Tiernan (300, The Pianist).

Plot

Captain Martin Stone (Tiernan) is leading a finely-trained, elite platoon of American and Finnish soldiers as they attack an enemy bunker. Underestimating their enemy's strength, they are quickly beaten back into the forest. As they try to regroup, they are suddenly attacked by the same soldiers they had just killed a few minutes earlier. Forced to flee deeper into Russian territory, they discover one of war's most terrifying secrets and realize they have woken up a far deadlier enemy.

WAR OF THE DEAD is a thrilling new war movie with an undead twist, will delight both zombie and action movie fans with its masses of undead hordes terrifying a group of soldiers trying to complete a secret mission during World War II.
