Stig H. Hästö was born Viipuri, Finland 1923, and died Helsinki, Finland 1997.
Vuorineuvos. President of the Finnish Federation of Employers. Led many trade delegations for Finland in the 1970s and 1980s when Finnish economy was soaring. President of Finlayson textile company (Tampere, Finland) 1963-1978. Lived in Finlaysonin Palatsi (www.finlaysoninpalatsi.com). Author of an autobiography (Hästö Stig H.: Vuodet kertyvät, pilvet haihtuvat. Omaelämänkerrallista tarinaa ja mietteitä seitsemältä vuosikymmeneltä. WSOY 1987) and a memoir on experiences as a soldier in eastern Finland in World War II era.
