History

The church was built in 1742 and was designed by Mark Parsons.. A war memorial was added after the First world war.

Domonic Stone

The parish was in the news on 24th of November 2009 after it was revealed that the Vicar, The Reverend Dominic Stone had been arrested for viewing Indecent Images of Children. He appeared at Stafford Crown court on 1 November 2010 and pleaded not guilty. He was Found Guilty on 3rd of November and resigned on the 7th of November he was later given a 9-month sentence suspended for 2 years and ordered to register as a sex offender he had been in the post since 2002

Today

The church does not currently have a vicar after the resignation of Rev Dominic Stone in 2010. It lies in the Deanery of Uttoxeter and the archdeaconry of Stoke-on-Trent
