History

St. Peter's C. E. Primary School was not originally on the site that it now sits upon. It was a much smaller school and therefore a much bigger building was needed. The current building was started being constructed in 1905 and the work was finished in 1906. The school first opened its doors 1906 and has remained virtually unchanged ever since. Although when the school was built, boys and girls were separated and entered and left the school through different entrances and exits to each other, this has now changed with pupils entering the school through their main entrance.
