St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church Established in 1983, St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church is located at 45 Hallcrown Place in Toronto, Ontario in the municipality of North York. It belongs to the Holy See of Cilicia.

History

Toronto's Armenian Community centre and A.R.S. Day School in 1979, who were committed to preservation and continuation of their Armenian heritage. Felt the absence of an Armenian Church under the umbrella of the Holy See of the Catholicosate of Cilicia in their community. Near the end of 1982, an official petition was delivered to the prelacy of Canada and Eastern United States, that on February 28, 1983 resulted in an approval in constructing a formation of a new church community.

By the blessing of the prelate His Emenance Arch Bishop Mesrob Asjian, Very Revrand Father Khajag Hagopian was called to pastoral ministry.

Thus, St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church of Toronto is officially established in 1983 and the first holy liturgy service was held on Sunday April 10, 1983.
