When opened in 1949 the school admitted both girls and boys, in different buildings. In the early 1990s the school went fully co-educational with Marist Hall, the former girls school housing the 9th and 10th graders and Immaculata Hall, the former boys school, housing 11th and 12th graders. Some have classes in both buildings.
