Stabbings

On June 17, 2009, this school was the site of multiple stabbings, at least four students and one female teacher who had tried to break up a fight between several students on the school property have been injured, two male students were rushed to Credit Valley Hospital

 with severe stab wounds, while a female teacher at this school was among the injured she suffered minor injuries when she tried to break up the fight and was not transported to the hospital. Peel Regional Police

 said they received the initial call at around 8:30 a.m. after reports of multiple stabbings the school was placed in lockdown mode between 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. shortly after the lockdown was lifted the school was evacuated and remained closed for the rest of the day while police continued their investigation in the stabbing. On the same day when the stabbings took place, Peel Regional Police also announced that two suspects aged 16 and 17 who cannot be named under the provisions of Canada's Youth Criminal Justice Act
