 Catholic Church. In 1933, the body of Mother Cabrini was exhumed and then reinterred in a tomb in the chapel.
The current shrine was built in 1957. It is designed as a parabolic arch by the architectural firm of De Sina & Pellegrino.

The street to the west of the shrine was renamed Cabrini Boulevard

The shrine is home to a very rare pipe organ built by the Tamburini organ Company of Crema, Italy 2 manuals, 27 stops, 29 ranks. It is one of the very few organs from this important Italian firm located in to the United States.
