Residents of the Village are mostly of Croatian and Italian heritage. The Village has one bank (Farmers State Bank of Fulton County) two taverns (Betty's Rite Bank Saloon and Phillips Tavern), the St. David Optimist Club, three churches (St. Micheals Catholic Church, Methodist church and Nazarene Church).

The Village has two parks, the Village Park located on Main Street contains a ball diamond (named in honor of John Perardi), playground area and the Village Memorial Board. The other park is located on the western side of town called 40 Acres Park, this park contains a ball diamond and is also the location of the Village Hall.

St. David is the home to the Buckheart Township government offices and garage. The township supervisor is Frank Shubert and the Road Commissioner is Roger Phillips.

The Village government consist of a Board of Trustee's, Village President (Mayor), Village Clerk, Trasurer, Ordinance & Zoning Officer, Attorney. The Village currently has a contract with the Fulton County Sheriff to patrol and enforce the laws.
