The Smith & Wesson Model 909 is the first model in the 900 series, the 909 is a medium sized automatic pistol chambered in 9mm Luger. It sports a blued finish and a 9 round single stack magazine. It features both a decocking safety and a magazine interlock safety.

Production ran from 1995 until 1997.
